| To help the needy during the holiday season, state Rep. Lisa Hernandez (D-Cicero) is sponsoring a Holiday Food Drive with Gethsemane Lutheran Church, which operates the CBS Anti-Hunger food pantry, benefiting residents of Cicero, Berwyn and Stickney. Hernandez is sponsoring the food drive with Gethsemane Lutheran Church to raise awareness regarding the issue of hunger, to encourage those who are more fortunate to help those in need, and to ensure that families in the 24th District do not go without food during the cold winter months. mix, syrup, flour, sugar and other non-perishable food items can be dropped off at Hernandez’s office, located
at 2137 Lombard in Cicero. The office is open from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on Thursdays, with operating hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hernandez will collect food items until December 22.
